PHOTO PROMPT -Brenda Cox
This unit of Marvel’s finest heroes, Wanda Maximoff, Vision, Captain America, Winter Soldier, Shang-Chi, and Thor, were charged with protecting Paris from monsters. The Breach under the Pacific Ocean had been reopened with a 9.5-level earthquake, and Kaiju were streaming through. Their masters from the other dimension programmed them to disperse and destroy all humans.
I was on my usual bike courier route when cacophony exploded with rumbles, screams, roars, and screeching steel. I looked up as the marble building came down. If Wanda Maximoff hadn’t held the building, I would now be embedded within it like my bike.

I’m on the edge with my response to the prompt photo this week. I don’t think there are any rules against rotating images, but…. Then I pulled big Hollywood and comic book characters into the story. One is Marvel Comic Books and, by extension, movies based on them. The other is the film, Pacific Rim, which may or may not be based on comic books. I had a lot of fun writing it and I hope you enjoy the story.

Lisa,
Loved this story and didn’t want it to end. This universe comes naturally to you and I wouldn’t be sad to see this expanded. Exciting read.

Trying to imagine “The Breach under the Pacific Ocean” being “reopened by a 9.5-level earthquake. Great CGI for a sci-fi movie.

Imaginative take on the prompt. It’s a most disturbing image, isn’t it?

Thanks, Penny, and yes, it is! I’d like to know what the real story is on it, wouldn’t you?

Do you watch Marvel? I really enjoy those movies…my favorite is the Hulk…I love the Green Guy. That image is out there…I like it.

No I don’t follow Marvel. Too complicated and too much time to invest to stay current with it.

It came along with Bailey’s generation…I pretty much was hooked when I started with Ironman.

I’ve seen some of the movies like Ironman, The Hulk, and a few others, but it’s been a few years now.

Dear Lisa,
No rules against flipping the image. 😉 And you did a fine job of crushing the story.
