Another lovely photo/painting. 👍 This one gives me autumn vibes in the top half and strong ‘wet winter’ vibes in the second half of the painting. It also does a great job of capturing the mood of the latter season.

Yup, August breaks high temps and begins chilling the nights, so that the edges of leaves spike red, yellow, and orange. Clever play on words, and the brevity fits the message.

I try not to get too depressed with the falling maple leaves as they are beautiful. Still its on to another cooler and colder season. Have a good weekend!

Contrary to what many folks seem to believe, Labor Day isn’t the end of summer here in the U.S. Summer still lasts until September 22, at least officially – just saying… :-)
Personally, I also think September is one of the most beautiful months in my neck of the woods (New Jersey), together with May. I’m actually looking forward to it!

Christian how did you do through that stormy weather yesterday? I was looking at some videos and getting real nervous for the east coast. I understand when “they” say the seasons begin and end, but my bones tell me when it happens :) I do love fall and want to get out on my bike. Perfect riding weather.

Thanks for asking, Lisa. Yesterday, we had our third tornado warning in New Jersey in just the last couple of months. In friggin’ New Jersey – it’s crazy!
Luckily, we were spared from any tornado. In other parts of the state, one of the tornados caused quite a bit of destruction.
We did get a lot of rain, and some streets in my area were flooded. Luckily, we don’t live close to a lake or river!
I also like fall until all those leaves from the trees around my house fall! :-)

Thanks, Lisa, we did spend some time in our basement. It’s a bit nerve-wrecking when your TV and your cell phone tell you every minutes, ‘a tornado warning has been issued for your area,’ cheerfully suggesing that you seek shelter immediately – honestly, I never thought I would witness this in New Jersey.
Luckily, we have a fairly comfortable guest room in our basement, so hanging out there isn’t terrible.

Thank you, Merril. I think fall is when the falling comes and not by any calendar designation. I love it, so much fuzzier than the harsh summer of 2021 (which started way before June 21.)

Mine too, and yes, it seems to pass so quickly. How’s your weather there? It’s been real nice the past week or so here. 70F and sunny but clouds in the sky. We had a big thunderstorm for a day that brought a few trees and limbs down, but nothing too bad.
