This year was the first year I participated in the Poetry Postcard Fest (aka POPO.) Kerfe Roig told me about it last year when she participated. For me an enjoyable part was creating paper collage however the spirit moved me and then doing an ekphrastic slimverse poem to it. Another fun part is the receiving postcards with poetry from others all month. For the month of October, I will be posting one collage and slimverse poem it inspired. Today will be the first.

I love your creativity with the postcards, a fun way to participate in Postcard Poetry. I participated this year also. I couldn’t wait to check the mail each day! I even received a straggler this week!

Heather, thank you. Neat to know you participated also. It is a real joy to visit the mailbox each day, you’re right. I’ve gotten a couple of stragglers since it ended and they are an especially happy surprise. I wish it went on all year 🙂
