Playlists — #1 Pearl Jam Favorites 121821

I’ve been trying to figure out how to #1) create a Spotify playlist; and #2) learn how to embed it in a post once created. Christian at Christian’s Music Musings was kind enough to send me an excellent step by step guide to doing it. Today I’m sharing my first Spotify playlist, which is some of my favorite Pearl Jam songs.

Thank You, Christian!

  1. Glad I could be of help, Lisa. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now that I’ve signed up with Spotify what’s also nice is that I can hear more than just 30-second snippets, so I’m going to take a closer look at your playlist hopefully soon!

While I’m not ready to give up on YouTube clips, embedding Spotify playlists definitely is a fun addition I have every intention to keep using going forward.

Christian, if you click on the spotify symbol on the playlist you will go directly to spotify and can hear the entire songs in the playlist even if you don’t have a premium account.

      1. It does indeed – that’s neat. And, hey, it even rhymes. ๐Ÿ™‚

        Thanks, Lisa!

Max thank you. Somehow with my new phone, when I turn on the car radio it’s playing, and I can listen to whatever playlists I have liked. With the free account there are commercials like regular radio, but the ads aren’t as noxious as regular radio and there are no DJs to fill space.

Yea regular radio gets on my nerves. There are very few DJ’s I liked…
I remember when we played out in clubs…sometimes a DJ would spin records on the same bill…we called them Jukeboxes with attitudes.

I wish I had a go-to band. I love certain music, but I kinda have a tin ear.

I don’t think I have 10 bands that I can name! Um…used to like a lot of Led Zeppelin. Hubby got me into Crystal Method. I’m so ’70s. I love MacArthur Park, Barry White’s Love Theme, Last Dance. Some of Snow Patrol. Some….who does dubstep? I love that–don’t know why. Sixpence None the Richer. I discover a lot of random songs at my job ’cause they’re played as soundtrack music, you know? But it’s all chaotic and unorganized. I definitely have no center when it comes to music.

Good to know where your head is at with the tunes, Stacey. I never thought about how you’re listening to soundtracks in your captioning job. I bet you hear a lot of sound effects also? Not sure if I mentioned this book to you before, but Chuck Palahniuk’s latest novel, “The Invention of Sound,” has a Foley Artist as the protagonist.

Wow! What? What a fascinating idea to have a Foley artist as a protagonist! Gotta check that one out. I know nothing about the Foley business, but obviously it’s named after a person, since the computer insisted for it to be capitalized, lol. Thanks for the tip! And have a happy holiday, in whatever capacity, in the meantime. ๐Ÿ™‚
