As of 5 minutes ago, I upgraded my blog to be able to show ads, take donations, sell products, increase file limits, etc. I’m doing this on a trial basis. I have no plans to take donations or sell products at this point, however I did it to see how the ads feature works.
I would ask all readers to PLEASE let me know if you find the ads intrusive or otherwise offputting when it comes to reading my content.
P.S. If anyone has been considering upgrading, there are coupons out there that take half-off the price. In my case it was going to be $68 to upgrade for the year, but with the coupon it only costed $34.
Nothing shows yet…

Thanks for letting me know. I set them to be only at the bottom of pages, after the content. We’ll see how it goes!

Hey Love, I’m not seeing any ads? 🤷🏼♀️ Not sure if this means none have been generated for you yet, or if something went wrong on your end.

Nova, thank you for the feedback. Maybe it takes time to get rolling? We’ll see!

Not sure. I have ads on my site. I’ll recheck again later tonight. By then, the ads should be live if everything went according to plan ❤️

So far I just see one ad at the bottom. Good luck working it all out how you want it. 🙂

Two WordAds, which is like an advertisement for what WordPress offers. I’m not bothered by it.

Everything looks great to me. The ad has no interface with the blog content:)

None showing at my end, but I use Ghostery, which is a pretty effective filter.

I am blind, so dont see any ads, and my browser is behaving, so if there is any ads, I’m not bothered by them!

The ads don’t bother me. I read most of my followed blogs in the WP reader and the ads don’t seem to appear in there.

Oh good, thank you for the feedback on them not showing up in the reader. I rarely see ads on anyone’s blog unless it is stuff the blogger puts in themselves in the side columns.

I see an ad for Duckduckgo…It’s fine…not in the way at all.

OK good! Thanks for letting me know. There are choices to put them at the top, both sides, and at the bottom but that seems way overboard, so I chose only at the bottom of the pages (after they’ve been read.)

I thought about doing it. If it would pay enough for me to have the account I would be happy….but I doubt if it would.

Max, it’s an experiment for me. Will let you know how it goes either way.

I sure will. I’ll go to your blog rather than reader. I’m curious as well.

Do you think it makes a difference if visits are through reader vs. the actual blog? I read almost all blogs through the reader and am guessing it’s the same for most people?
