#FF — Double Trouble

PHOTO PROMPT © Rochelle Wisoff-Fields

Dotty and Mlady, identical twins, weren’t the kind that seemed like two parts to one whole, communicating telepathically or sharing a language nobody else was privy to. First fighting over who drank from mother’s breast that produced the most milk, to who swam Rubber Ducky around the tub, both sported scratches and bruises that had the neighbors shaking their heads.

When the twins started school, common sense would have said put them in separate classes. Indoor playtime found Dotty building lego skyscrapers that Mlady loved to Godzilla.

Now twenty-one, today they marry identical twin telepathic-like brothers and become next-door neighbors.

Perhaps being telepathic would cause more fights than not… I know I’ve had a few thoughts that would start quite a ruckus if overheard.

  8. Nice story! Your cats look similar to ours, Tigressa (grey with black stripes) and Misty (white with gray patches). They get along with each other very well.

Unfortunately, our Silky since she got into a bad fight with one of them doesn’t like them any longer. Now we have to keep them separate – it’s crazy what you do for pets!

Oh, I’m so sorry your fubabies don’t all get along. It’s taken years for these two to be able to tolerate each other. My son and his wife have 3 cats. They had the first two (females) which got along fine together and then the shelter begged them to take Jheri, who was not doing well in the big group environment. Although Jheri is now my granddaughter’s favorite (he is one who comes by her most) the other 2 cats hate him and avoid him at all costs. You’re right, it is crazy! :)

LOL Some parents try to “milk” twins as sort of celebrities, I think, and that’s why they do that. I am guessing if your only claim to fame is you have twins, why not? Only half kidding.

Yes…it was bad. Jen had pain while pregnant…doctor said it was in her head. Then when she was around 5-6 months we started off to Florida…when going through Nashville her lips were turning blue…I pulled into Baptist Hospital and we found out that she was pregnant with Bailey plus a twin in her tubes…her and Bailey almost didn’t make it..the tube was beginning to rupture. A long night.

I was so upset at the original doctor. Jen was IN the hospital the night before. I stayed with her over night and that is when he said we would be fine on vacation…it was Jen’s head. The next morning off we went to Florida thinking it was alright.

I appreciate it. Yea it hurt but like you said…at least they came out ok.

  17. Dear Lisa,

My youngest son is married to an identical twin. They’re startlingly alike in some ways and vastly different in others.
I found your twins entertaining and laughed when they ended up with telepathic identical brothers. I’m sure no one saw the girls living so close. Good one.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

🤣I noticed the cat names right away. I do that all the time. I’m fortunate (Maybe?) to have a few from which to choose.

I grew up with identical twins. Early, they were always together, and I couldn’t tell them apart. As we grew, each developed his own style. I’m sure it makes it harder to find one’s individuality.

I think they’ll both have a set of twins. Then, those sets of twins will marry twins and have twins. The process will repeat until they have an army of twins who invade Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
