Tender willow fronds
hula in early May’s warm breeze.
Birds sing their hearts out;
confirm to each listener:
I’m happy to be alive!

The joy in this poem instantly connects with me! Lovely. ❤

Yes, I thought so also. I think the main singer is the robin who has a nest in one of the redbud trees in the front yard.

Love the birds and Willows are my favorite trees…I planted one 5 years ago and it’s growing up.

Glad you enjoyed this, Max. I love how they leaf out so early and make everything that bright green. Once they get growing they get grow fast. They love being near water. These two are right by the ditch in the front that has a lot of water coming through, as well as the drain field (which is both good and bad.)

Mine is by a ditch also…so it could get the water…it took a while for mine but it’s shooting up now.
