🙂 I got the kindle and the hardcopy versions but haven’t had a chance to read more than the introductions and the first few poems. So far so good!

  8. Congrats again, Lisa. With two back-to-back concerts and doing time-consuming posts on each, I’m far behind with reading. I hope to catch up over the long weekend! 🙂

I’m definitely no expert on poetry and haven’t written any myself in years, but I’m still open to the beauty and emotion and philosophy embodied so succinctly in poetry and look forward to the experience.

I got it! “Wounds I Healed.”
Man, oh, man, did I love Beyond the Veil. (of course I sped straight to your stuff, Lisa, lol) The last line, “twirling in the bright reborn” actually gave me goose bumps.
And then the alliteration in Fashioned Friend was so punchy and full of angst, plus I love your sort of experimentation with punctuation later in it. The punctuation actually heightens the words of the poem, makes you “feel” it more.
    Congratulations again!
After I read the rest of the poets I’ll leave a review. So much passion and emotion in this collection, that much more powerful since everyone’s voice is yin rather than yang (although, yang is mixed in, ’cause where would we be with just yin?) 🙂

❤ ❤ ❤ You just made my day, Stacey. Muah! I agree about the passion and emotion gathered in the volume. I'm working my way through it slowly and squeezing every yin (and yang) bit I can out of it.
