This is part of a collage I’m working on for my Clan Mothers series. Since it is Draw a Bird Day and I just saw Kerfe’s offering for this month, it inspired me to post this. It’s more of a depiction than physically detailed but I still like how it turned out.
I like it too!

You’re most welcome! How are you doing my friend?

Sadje, trying to take it easy and be gentle with myself in this time of loss and grieving. Thank you for asking. How are you doing? I saw you had some surgery recently?

You’re welcome! I had a corrective surgery for my fallen arch and ankle displacement. It’s a slow process, not allowed to use that foot so I have to hop along on one leg. Thanks a lot

Oh wow didn’t realize it was that bad, Sadje. How much longer will you have to be off of that foot? Wishing you quick and full healing, my friend.

Thanks Li! Hopefully after another 4 weeks, I’ll be allowed to put weight on my foot. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Thank you, Kerfe. I can’t wait to share the series once it’s done. On another topic, I’ve written exactly 1 poem so far for POPO 😦 Am working on the 2nd one now.

I’ve sent 5 and received one. I’m almost finished making the actual cards also.

Awesome on sending and receiving. I haven’t sent any or received any. I remember last year feeling a sense of accomplishment getting the cards made. I bought a pack of postcards, and they are pretty neat. Looking forward to using them for ekphrastic poems. Am trying to write troiku this year.

I’m doing shadorma again. It works well for me, as I don’t really need to think about the forn since I use it so often.

Really Cool! My favorite birds are Owls and Humming Birds…but Owls have a mystical quality about them.
