POPO2022 Bonus Card #2 — orange with blossom and branch

card 33 orange blossom and branch resized

wee petals open
framed by waxy leafery
mysteries in-wait

wee petals open
hungry fragrant nectar calls
for winged ravishers

framed by leafery
clustered queens, in succession,
begin their intrigue

mysteries in-wait
realized; burnished globes,
sweet with their secrets

Tomorrow will be the last postcards for POPO2022.  It will be a picture of all of the cards I received since the festival started in the summer.  I have also taken one line or phrase from each of the postcards and assembled a found poem with them.

Such small flowers yield a succulent fruit.

Isn’t it amazing how that happens? Each one a miracle.

Yes, while a big bloom can result in a tiny seed pod. Amazing nature.

  2. Love your wee little verse, Li! I love oranges and “burnished globes” is so apt.

I like all of these post cards… you have described them well without describing them.

That form is perfect for POPO because they are short but get the message across. Thank you 🙂
