Found Poem from POPO 2022 Received Poems

I release you each day
a bowl of stars
a shallow pool of water for all beings
soaking up the waves and the thrill
a kindred spirit recognizing a common need
consider the light how it scoots
it will lift us closer to love
joy rises to blanche all grief

we are the robots still pulsing
medicine, or food, or poison, or ‘merely’ pretty
you and the world ask much of me
I’ve gone back and forth many times…
where worn feet have trekked through fragrant forests
found their shadows, believed their hazel and blue eyes
we played tourist like everyone else
flamingos are a difficult crop to grow
the crow sits and struts and sips
spindly legs revealing an even spindlier mind
fuschia blooms welcome
dingos and blues scenting the fat blue line that wiggles
staying too late at the carnival
comets moons become

voice calm, soothing, as she tells stories
unseeable, creating possibilities that guide
everything breathes out and back
can we imagine innocence once again
bicycle to the river
my mind may spring to life, offer me one morsel
the sky rests on their shoulders

I took one line that spoke to me from each poem received this year and tried to group them into poetry. I love how it turned out. THANK YOU, Poets, for your beautiful words.

The image is of all of the postcards received. THANK YOU.

Thank you, it did fall together well. Question on ads: have you seen ads being put between parts of my content? I looked at this yesterday and see they did. NOT COOL and my settings say below content. Not sure how to fix it but I’m not a happy camper. That’s why I turned them off awhile ago.

I saw an ad at the bottom of your post…I just checked it again. It wasn’t between any paragraphs but at the end. I didn’t notice yesterday.

What’s so cool about the cento is that I chose each line from each postcard on its speaking to me alone; then after compiling them all and then arranging them they had their own organic wholeness.
