love, rearrange;
alchemize life in
my heart’s ossified veins
may liquid rose flow
as burgeoning joy
in Spring’s fresh rains
Compression form poem

Thanks much, Colleen. That rose was here when I moved in back in 2011 and every year it gives the most beautiful and fragrant offerings.

This poem is so beautiful! I love the way you’ve used the two words ‘change’ and ‘grow’ to create an image of the fragrant rose blooming in the Spring rain. It’s a great example of how powerful words can be when used to create vivid imagery. Your use of compression to form the poem is really clever, too. It’s really amazing how much a poem can say in so few words. My question is, what inspired you to use compression in this particular poem?

Thank you very much for your feedback, Frances. Happy you enjoyed it. When looking for forms, I have a folder of ones I’ve liked that others have used and like to try them out if they fit. Thank for you asking 🙂

Everything is in order. I really don’t know. Sometimes it’s because our browsers have kept the old site addresses, especially when we don’t update our wordpress. But try searching for judeitakali.wordpress.com in your browser. It may then be saved.
