Wilma loved everything about the new townhouse – except the front steps. What architect in their right mind would have designed them this way? Wilma’s extra large feet had to pick their way carefully each time. Even though they were covered with thick rubber tread, she clung to the railing for purchase.
John, the widower in the unit next door, noticed.
“What architect in their right mind would have designed them that way?” John said just as Wilma reach the sidewalk.
“Who, indeed!” said Wilma before looking up into emerald green eyes.
John thought, “praise God for my masonry skills.”

Dear Lisa,
Looks like things worked to the builder’s advantage. Sweet story…make that one lemonade with two straws ;)

I noticed those wonky steps, but you took them and made a fun, romantic (I hope) story out of them. Two straws it is.

That’s a great door (of course that’s what I notice first).

Maybe they can work out a trade. (wink wink)
Also, I noticed how steep those steps were also. And not even a rail!

Hoping there is a back door entrance. Those steps are an accident waiting to happen.

… or maybe they will build an inside connector door between the places and just use the one at his place ;)

I notice John has also built cellars beneath the houses. Best tread carefully, Wilma.

Love it – you got my imagination going – John is an Irishman who settled there many years ago with his sparkly emerald eyes and the building’s green façade – so no question there is definitely Irish in there 😃

The stairs a clearly made for minotaurs, but it looks like John and Wilma will be reaping the benefits.
