Your garden is doing really well. I learned recently that tomatoes do not ripen when it is very hot and ripen best at around 70F. Mine have been cooking. I have to pick them early and let them ripen in the house.

You are doing a great job Lisa…I like the Asiatic lily a lot. You have struck the tomatoe goldmine.

Thanks a lot, Max. If I can just keep them in a healthy state until they ripen.

I might try green fried tomatoes. I heard they’re good.

Lovely! Your garden is doing so very well! I got all of ONE green zucchini and four yellow ones, three of which are still puny. My tomatoes are on slo-mo and my peppers even more so. The eggplant, however, is doing splendidly!!

I’m glad your eggplant is doing so well. Never tried to grow it, but maybe I should try?

I’ll see if the seed bank has any seeds next year. I’ve been making baba ghanoush lately with the ones I but at the store, but eggplant parmesan is my favorite always.

  5. I always like your doodads posts, Lisa. There’s something calming about looking at plants. And that Joni Mitchell clip is one heck of a gem. And she comes across as so unassuming – like somebody you want to hang out with!

Christian, I’m happy the plant pics are calming to you. I instantly calm down as I walk around the yard and see how the plants are doing. It’s one of the things my mom and I used to do together. Joni is up there with the greats imo.

      1. I might be a little bit more anxious about plants if I had to take care of them. I really don’t have a green thumb! My wife, on the other hand, is pretty good with plants. And, yep, Joni Mitchell is one of the outstanding singer-songwriters of our time. I love that song in particular and only because of CSNY’s terrific version.
