I went to the library yesterday to drop off due items and pick up items on hold. There is a cart in the entryway where donated books are placed. I noticed the loon book first and thumbed through it as I know a story about a loon from the dreams and mythology class, but this wasn’t that story as I didn’t see a bear in it. Looking a little further on the shelf I saw the other three books. Short stories with pictures, and enough of each to hold my granddaughter’s attention. I carried them in to the checkout counter and was told my total for the four books was $1.35. Good deal.
The family got together on Monday and I noticed how much clearer the grandbaby’s language is getting. Wednesday night is our online game night. Younger son and DIL (daughter in-law) said that she has started telling her own stories. One is about Elmo going to the moon, and Cookie Monster traveling up to see him.

As soon as I heard Chuck had a new book coming out, I pre-ordered it from a nearby independent book seller. I got the call yesterday that it’s in. Heading over there in a short bit to pick it up. If you don’t hear from me this weekend, you’ll know why. With Chuck’s work, I do my level best to take it slow, as I like to savor every sentence because I know when I finish there won’t be more new words for awhile. Sorry to say, most times I fail and soon another wait is in process.

Great deal on four books. Enjoy and hope the baby enjoys them too

I know, and the 3 little books are brand new! The other one looks like new also. About the Chuck book, I *just* got back from picking it up. It was quite a trip to get there and back with all of traffic from the tourists. I could have had amazon deliver but I am starting to support independent book sellers more and more. I may buy everything else from amazon but avoid them for books if possible.

Yes I don’t blame you. I miss getting out and actually touching something physical instead of ordering everything.

Library sales are the best. I’ve gotten so many reference books for collage at the one at the library nearby. When my kids were small, we used to get a lot of books at school fairs too. They always had a book sale table with parent donations of books their kids had outgrown.
Enjoy your new book! (K)

I plan on it! I got the tomatoes canned (7 pints this time) then took an almost 2-mile walk with older son. Eating dinner now. Will probably start it tomorrow morning/afternoon.

Four books for $1.35 is really remarkable. How old is the grandbaby? Telling her own stories about Elmo and Cookie Monster sounds really cute! Last but not least, enjoy the book! :-)

She turned 2 in April. They have her watching the original Sesame Street, the ones they grew up on. And yes, there is no doubt I will enjoy the book. Thanks, Christian :)

2 years, that’s a cute age. I still remember when my son was 2. He’s turning 22 in November – crazy!

Time does fly doesn’t it. My oldest son is approaching 40 and that totally freaks me out.

We told him to take his time growing up, but he didn’t listen! :-)

How fun! I finally have a grandbaby on the way, but not arriving until February, most likely. So many cute children’s books to share with him!!!
