What’s Going On? — “Take This” (prayer)

092023prayer

Take this clutter from my house, my psyche, and the world.
Strings are meant for symphonies, not marionette parodies.
Mycellia woven tidy telegraphs, not cyber-marketing memes.
Neural networks wired for survival, not rewired electronica.
Intelligence for planet sustenance, not for ways to starve it.
We’ve lost our way and suffocate in the poisons we hoard.
Hear this plea, that which needs to hear it. Step in, I beg.
Take this clutter from my house, my psyche, and the world.

Susan, Sherry, Sumana, and Mary are the hosts of What’s Going On?

They want us to write a poem based on the concept of Take This Poem by  Elizabeth Willis.

I love “Hear this plea…..intelligence for planet sustenance.” We need governments and corporations to hear it. Wonderful poem.

Sherry, thank you. I just don’t think governments and corporations have the ears for it. We need to go up the chain of command.

You got me with that first line (which repeated as the last). Yes, we have lost our way. Hope it is not too late to find our way back! Your plea is well penned. Bravo for a powerful poem! Thanks for joining us again!

  4. Lisa,
A prayerful plea for those who make decisions, to truly open their eyes to the state of this sad world. So many situations causing fear and despair along with a feeling that no-onein control of power, really cares….

Eileen, I hope for that as well, but I have pretty much given up on that avenue as having any success. The bigwigs, by virtue of their positions, have no souls. They will only change kicking and screaming and if given no other choice. That’s why I’m looking up the chain of command to the operator of this crazy game we’re in.

I might get something written. Not sure. :) Nothing’s coming to mind as yet. I’m still focused on the series I’m writing on my blog.

That’s a heartfelt folded prayer-poem, Lisa. May I steal the opening line as my daily mantra? I also like the internal rhyme of ‘Strings are meant for symphonies, not marionette parodies’.

“We’ve lost our way and suffocate in the poisons we hoard.”….This is so true. We are so fond of attachment to everything however unnecessary they may be that it’s sometimes impossible to declutter. Let alone our own mind, house or this world we haven’t spared the outer space too. Sigh.
