First of June isn’t supposed to
hit ninety.
May hasn’t rained all month
following April with no showers.
Everything is still green,
but the grass looks tired.

It seems weather patterns increasingly are out of control and climate change is real, no matter what the naysayers are saying!

Yes they are. I’m starting to see brown needles in the pine trees in the yard and across the street. I pray we get some rain. It’s been promising clouds for it for days, and tonight a stormy type breeze is rustling the leaves, but so far nothing.

I’d love to send you some of our rain…another dismal Saturday with flooding coming up.

Oh no and it has to be even worse because you rivers run all through the city don’t they?

My neighborhood doesn’t usually get hit too badly…although some places in the park flood, and of course the highways on the east and west sides. We’ll see.

I like…”the grass looks tired”… some lines just speak to me and that did.
