Oldest son is on vacation this week
Day one takes care of pesky car maintenance
I follow him there and then we go for lunch
Afterwards we take a drive to the country market.
Days like this are blessings. He wants to buy a bike.

How wonderful to spend time with your son. We did that on Saturday too. It was his birthday.

Sadje, yes it is wonderful and cherished to spend time with our adult children. Glad you were able to spend time with your son on his birthday.
My poems were written in June and July so this was a few months ago; but yesterday I got to spend time with both sons, daughter in-law, and grandbaby walking in the woods <3

Hope you have a great time. This actually reminds me maintenance on our car is overdue – it just never ends!

This happened back in June, and we did have a good time. Cars cost $$ and it’s a shame that user-friendly public transportation doesn’t exist. Almost makes me want to move back to the city so I can walk to a fresh foods market and sell the car.

Cars can be a drag, especially once they get old. Ours is from 2018, so not old yet. However, we do use it a lot! This far, knock on wood, it has been pretty reliable.

Glad to hear yours is still in good shape.
Mine’s a 2016 so still running well, but the thought of springing $30k on the next one doesn’t thrill me :(

I know. Frankly, right now, I couldn’t dole out that kind of money, so the bloody car better continues to work!

I still have these bikes ready to fix up…waiting for Jen to get a job…she is starting to get interviews now. For a while she got nothing.
Geez my car is a 2005 lol. It sat for 6 years in a garage so it was very low mileage. Knock on wood…it’s been a great car.

Good on the bikes and good on Jennifer and interviews. I don’t drive my car much these days, not like when I was working. Glad you’ve got a good one with low miles.
