POPO2023 Day 10

10 Vasiliki Katsarou Matisse Pot of Geraniums 1912

Each morning she supervises, watching
me go through the house-opening ritual.
Silent, with knowing eyes, she waits.
She knows, after windows and doors opened,
coffee made, and fish fed, I’ll sit on the couch,
and she will climb into my lap.

  3. Sounds like it could be one of our cats. It’s amazing how curious they are and how they stare at you as you’re doing stuff. There’s really no subtlety here! :-)
