Raindrops have speckled the windows
this morning. I wonder how much
has fallen. Weather report’s prediction
came through
Last night there was no thunder/lightning.
I listened/watched until dropped into dry dreams.
Looking out now, I see it is still falling.

Did you sleep good despite the rain? We had heavy rain here last night, and I couldn’t sleep it was so loud and beating on my windows!

Rain drops are a great background sound to fall asleep. They’re less fun to actually watch, especially during the day! :-)

Yes, I have used the sound of falling rain on my sound machine before and it is soothing. I like the surf sound better. Sometimes it is hard to see the rain fall when it’s gray outside and the raindrops along the roof make it more real to me.

I like surf sound as well. I fondly remember summer vacations with my parents as a young teen in an apartment in southern France, which was located right on the beach of the Mediterranean Sea. At night you could hear the waves crashing on the beach.
