I’ve had three massage therapists
over the last twenty years
Masseuse One: fifteen years,
super cheap, head to toe, loved to talk,
which developed into a friendship,
which ruined the massages.
Masseuse Two: three years,
exceptionally skilled, informed healer;
inflation floated her above my pocketbook.
Masseur One (3): cheap, in a small,
spare room, and says little;
advertises head to toe, does neck
to ankles, yet I leave relaxed.

loved the juxtaposition of the blue nude with massage therapy, gave me a grin and a chuckle 😊 thanks for writing

Barbara, thank you. I’m blue about the situation and glad you enjoyed the juxtaposition :)

hopefully your sense of humor will see you through to the right setup for your needs. Myself, I am far too sensitive for massage – instead I go to spa pool with underwater massage valves when i can or lie on my tennis balls under points nr to spine daily. Best wishes for your choice.

Barbara thanks for the good tips. My favorite place any time I’ve been in a pool is by those pressure jets. Maybe a spa pool would be a good long-term investment for me :)

living in a trailer it would not be in my budget. PS footbaths or baths with epsom salts are a budget alternative I believe for detox or brushing yourself all over. I do acupressure. Cheers,

I’ve never had a body massage but they say it’s very relaxing

Sadje, I’m guessing you would love one. I use it for relaxation but also general health. The cells can build up fluids that can cause pain and other health issues. The massage works that extra fluid out of the cells. I bought the foot massager because this latest person doesn’t do much on the feet. It keeps the circulation good in my feet. What’s irritating is that insurance won’t pay for them and the cost keeps jacking up so not sure how much longer I’ll be able to continue them, or may have to get them half as often, which in a way defeats the purpose of them.

That I perfectly understand because massage improves the circulation of both blood and lymph. I guess one has to try the very first time to become a convert.

love this Li.. As a MT the good news is we wouldn’t be friends (unless we weren’t working) but I fall into the second category.. don’t let this one go.. ha.. but she is in my price range. wish she was closer!🥰

I hear you, and I’m on the search for a new person who is like the second (that MT has stopped doing them, has hired MTs, and just operates her business now,) is closer to where I live, and just go half as often. I wish you lived closer, Cindy! I know you do a good job with your clients.

It’s touch to find. It’s gotten like house cleaners. I told mine if they went any higher, I couldn’t afford to pay her.. (HC haha)
I do too but if you’re every in town.. xo ❣️

Good therapists of all kinds are hard to find. Good luck! (K)

I’ve never had that done before. I’m very ticklish and probably couldn’t make it through it. As dumb as that sounds.

Max, you’re missing out, but maybe, being very ticklish, it wouldn’t work out if you did get one. You’re not the first ticklish person I’ve come across. I learn more about you every day :)

LOL…Jennifer gets aggravated at times…she puts her hand on my shoulder or back and I jump a mile.

At the end of the day I guess what matters is whether or not a massage does what it’s supposed to do, not whether it’s in a fancy place or the person giving the massage is particularly friendly or talkative.😀

Very true, Christian. I think a little talk is ok but chattering or using me as a therapist while they give me a massage is not ok.

You have reminded me that I am WAY overdue for one… Head to Toe has to include the head and the toes!! Sheesh… ;-)

Or close to (depending on the area needing extra TLC)

I love the Matisse painting, first of all. Of course.
And what a journey with masseuses ! ! ! I also had NO idea about health benefits. I thought they were only for relaxation or getting sore muscles worked out. Fluid buildup in cells, huh? Yikes !!! Now you got me worried about my fluids, Li! lol

LOL! I suggest you schedule yourself one (or two, for couples massage with you and hub) asap :)
