On our garden tour in July, we saw a plethora of gorgeous flowers, landscaping, yard sculptures, row of tall arbor vitae, and constructed waterfalls with streams. One of the most delightful finds was at a place that had a path winding through a forest. My friend called out, “Hey look at these!”

summer becomes fall
pink veins, brown blotches

posting this 2nd one after remembering these leaves from July
Frank is today’s host for dVerse’ Haibun Monday. Frank says:
Write a haibun that alludes to Fall foliage or Spring blossoms.

Sounds like a lovely garden and those leaves are amazingly abstract. Nice haibun.

Thank you, Di. I actually think they may have a fungus/virus but they look cool, especially in July.

Those colors are incredible on the leaves. That green on the bottom one is almost nature’s neon green.

Very cool leaves. Summer works its magic on the leaves with mold and fungus decorating them for you! Well done.

Dwight I think that’s exactly what decorated these. Two different kinds. I should have sealed them in wax paper like we used to do at school.

Incredible leaves, but I think you’re right, they may have some kind of disease. I really lime the haiku.

Sometimes it just take a dry spell to breathe in a bit of autumn to the leaves of summer.
