Looks like a great spot for a summer vacation! While growing up in Germany, we would go on family vacation to southern France every 3 years or so. My parents were friends with a family (they had met during my dad’s studies in Montpellier in the ’60s. They had an apartment right of the beach where we would stay. They also came to visit us in Germany every few years. We even did some mini-vacations with them. I have fond memories of these times. My parents are still in touch occasionally with one of the couples.

Sadly no. Both of them (my mom is 85, my dad is 87) are in physical conditions that no longer allow them to travel any longer distances.

I know, Lisa. Frankly, I’m grateful they are still around, which is by no means a given. My wife, son and I will visit them in less than 2 weeks as part of our rescheduled European family vacation. That’s exciting!
