If you count today, there are 17 days until Christmas. But Christmas is not the only holiday that is celebrated at this time of year. Nov 28 was the day we met up at Meijer Gardens. Last week’s Friday Favorite Feature was the garden train. The halls were lined with Christmas trees and decorated with ornaments from countries who celebrate it. There were also tables exhibiting other traditions, from Buddhism to Kwanzaa. Keeping up with a toddler meant some photo ops had to be skipped, but here are pics of some I did capture.

Thanks, Christian. They do things up right at Meijer Gardens. I’m glad you got a good laugh from the video. It’s hilarious with a pointed message. It’s an old video but the gun nuts continue to run amok.

Whenever you say “inappropriate” I’m watching! It was funny as hell….they did a good job on that. It did look like the set.

Max, I love that you loved the video. Did you notice the guitarist in white? I didn’t even realize who they wanted him to be until watching it a 2nd time. I think it’s a perfect message to those gun nuts out there mowing innocent people down.

Wonderful share, Lisa. I love that pretty much every religion has a reason to celebrate around the same time – proof we are much more similar than we are different.
As for the video – That was great!! Gotta love the cojones on Jim Carrey.

Someone, I think that they dye them that color, and a few weeks ago saw some neon bright ones in Grand Rapids at the store. Should have at least snapped a pic of them.
