Here’s another tune from SRR. I think Shaky Odds is based in The Netherlands.

“Pull at the Chains” was released on 12/15/23. It’s from the album, “Ready to Receive It.” Looking at the YouTube channel this is the only album release with this song the only single released from it. Also two other singles have been released without an album. In my searching I did find Shaky Odds music streaming at several places including Soundcloud.
I didn’t find much other information on Ronald Hein but I did find something interesting called DistroKid, which wiki describes as: an independent digital music distribution service, founded in 2013 by American entrepreneur Philip J. Kaplan. DistroKid principally offers musicians and other rights-holders the opportunity to distribute and sell or stream their music through online retailers such as iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, iHeartRadio and others.
I was not able to find the lyrics for the song but they are fairly easy to understand.

No I don’t lol, the family think I’m behind :) I still use iTunes and also Bandcamp – which has rad recommendations of artists unheard or not big.

I used Pandora Radio for some years because I could listen to it in the car but they started charging more money for it so I canceled it. When I started seeing more Spotify playlists here at WP I started using it as it also synchs to the car radio — but it costs even more than Pandora. Can’t win for losing :(

Yes, nothing is free. Apple Radio is expensive too, so I’ve never bothered. I miss the days of cutting edge free-to-air radio.

I like it, Lisa. Spotify’s Release Radar seems to be a great source to find new music. “My” previous and the current version that was released today made me realize how much great new music I missed this month. While it’s obviously impossible to keep track of all new releases, I’m planning a catch-up post, likely for Monday!

Yes it is. I don’t really have time to read and listen to many new songs and write-ups or I would check out your weekly feature. Too many posts/music too little time. As you know I do make it a point to listen to your Sunday Six (99% of the time.)

Carving out the time to find and listen to new music oftentimes is also a challenge for me.
I was really impressed how good the current and previous versions of my Release Radar were. They seem to do a pretty neat job matching your preferences based on previous listening to new music. It’s probably A.I.-driven – in this case, it’s a good use, as far as I’m concerned!

Agreed on all. Pandora Radio started that logorithm (sp?) matching with liked songs and I think spotify has emulated and perhaps enhanced it.
