chocolate peach, tiny dream,
sing in delirious whispers
of symphonies’ wax
to luscious summer sun
chant my head with
languid tongue, fingered sweat,
lathered, pink with life

let The Oracle speak to you here
You have reached a quiet bamboo grove, where you will find an eclectic mix of nature, music, writing, and other creative arts. Tao-Talk is curated by a philosophical daoist who has thrown the net away.

Lovely verse, Lisa!
I’ve heard of other poets on WP using The Oracle but hadn’t really grasped it until you demonstrated it.
Thank you for a little burst of summer. We have irises at a side of our house that we never really visit closely so have to remember to go and adore them for the brief time they visit each year.

Thank you, Steve :) I’ve gotten some good poems out of it. You’re welcome on the pic. I moved to this house in 2011 and there were already Japanese iris out front and they still bloom. I also planted a whole bunch of rhizomes that a former co-worker gave me when I retired in 2018. They continue to bloom also but the area I planted them is choked with grass now so not quite as many as before.

You always get such affirming messages! That flower is amazing. (K)

Happy that it is so. I tried the basic word set this time and it gave me something good. My younger son spied that blossom last month on one of our walks outside at fmg. First one I ever saw. Yes it is!

What a lovely iris and poem, Lisa! 😍 I’ll have to plant some iris. 💕

Miriam, this is first crocus-height iris I’ve ever seen. Most are on tall stalks. No end to their beauty, no matter what the height. I hope you do plant some!!!

The shorter crocus irises are perfect for border, Lisa. I’m still in the planning stage for my new garden. This looks very pretty!!
