Older son took the following pics today. I’m sharing them with his permission.

You have reached a quiet bamboo grove, where you will find an eclectic mix of nature, music, writing, and other creative arts. Tao-Talk is curated by a philosophical daoist who has thrown the net away.
Wow! Fabulous photos, and good for your son for the great captures. We saw a partial and the sun looked like a crescent moon. Your Senryu is a perfect pairing, Lisa. 🌙

Eugi, thank you so much. Glad you were able to see it where you were. I was outside when it must have been happening and sky turned a weird color, but I was afraid to look up. I thought we weren’t where it was passing, but I sure learned quickly that it did.

You’re welcome, Lisa. I didn’t expect to see as much as we did and glad I kept the special glasses from the 2017 eclipse.

That’s what it looked like through my eclipse glasses. It’s a wondrous thing. (K)

:) You make me think about how many eyes were turned to the sky today, in community of wonder.
I was out transplanting my rhubarb plant from the big tub to the ground (that was a job!) when the sky took on a weird cast.

Millions I heard on the news. At last, something to unite us.

Thanks! It was so cloudy today that we could not see anything…I was in a meeting anyway at the time…but everyone told me it was like dusk outside.

You know how the sky gets just before a bad storm, almost a yellowish cast to it? That’s what it was like here. I think TN is closer to its direct path than we are.

Ok yea I know exactly what you are talking about. It was just too cloudy here today. Thunderstorms are coming tonight.

Wonderful pictures and poem. We didn’t get as good of a view. I posted some on Facebook, and I may write some poetry to go along with them tomorrow. It was fun though, wasn’t it?

Marsha, it was something to draw people together in a positive way, so I’m in favor of it. My son was more into it than I was. I was inspired to write the poem when I saw the pics though :)

I had to watch it on the news. We had little chance of seeing it live in the UK
