Shadorma series

Notes:  the first pic is the view you get as you step outside of Frederik Meijer Gardens from the back door and out into the open air of the outside parts of the property.  Just a few steps in are those lovely brunnera.  The frog is further out, in the sculpture park, not far from the waterfall where the koi are at.

Colleen Chesebro is the host of TankaTuesday.  Colleen wants us to write syllabic poetry with seasonal kigo.

    I like the talking stones a lot…
That Brunnera is one of the most gorgeous plant I’ve ever seen.

Max I really feel stones are alive but they move at a much slower rate than we do. Yes, Brunnera is gorgeous, I agree. Have never owned one but couldn’t tell you why not. They love the shade just like hosta.

Thats interresting about stones… The Brunnera caught my eye right off the bat… I have to wonder if I’ve seen it in the wild…I just read a little about it…

I especially like the third one. Stones have long memories, and many stories. (K)

I was out back by the creek the other day and actually saw a turtle surface to maybe get a bug on top of the water!

We have some nice walking parks around. But the bigger ones with more land and extras are further away and have a cost. Your park looks lovely.

What a pleasant surprise appearance by the turtle. My usual sighting of them is inert on a log.
Same here with the parks. I bought an annual membership at the gardens or it would get expensive.

There are snapping turtles in the creek and unwelcomed red eared sliders that people have brought into the state illigally and dispose of when they don’t want them anymore….

If the one garden place were closer… but it is at least an hour away. We do have some nice smaller free parks though.
