Transported the bike to GR and took a wonderful bike ride with younger son and my granddaughter yesterday. The weather was perfect. We rode through neighborhoods and ended up on Kent Trails that runs along the Grand River (which empties out into Lake MI in Grand Haven.)

Looks like you had a fabulous time. 🚴🏼♀️

Son surprised me when he said I was going to like where we were headed. He was right. Those bridges are treasures! I know where at least one is in town but getting to it could be a problem. Would love to sneak out there and take some pics. Can you take pics with your phone next time you go out to your greenway?

Yes I will! It’s such a cool feeling going across that bridge knowing…when I was a kid…trains were passing on it. It’s so beautiful.

Yes it was. We didn’t start out until 6 p.m. and the temp was perfect as you say. The streets were amazingly quiet.

This sounds lovely, Lisa. I haven’t taken out my bike yet and plan to do so once we’re hopefully getting a break from the crazy and humid weather we’ve had for the past week.
Yesterday evening, my wife and I listened to a summer concert in a park. It was so hot and humid that even sitting still in a camping chair you’d sweat. Those poor performing musicians must have been crazy hot. They didn’t have any fans on the stage, as far as I could see!

It was, Christian. Later in the day so it was nice and cooling, plus we were riding along the river which also cools things down.
Sounds like a sauna for all involved at your summer concert. Sending energy your way intended to dissipate your heat and humidity.

Thanks, we’ll be okay.😀
Extreme summers like this may become the new normal. Thank goodness it’s cool in our house. Knock on wood the A/C won’t break down!

My sons, their dad, and I took a lot of bike rides when they were young, and they rode in a cart just like this. Brings back so many pleasant times.
