Was able to take a quick look at Paul Villinski’s exhibit, “Flight Patterns” at fmg on Tuesday. The plane was fabulous, but what I wanted to see close up was the above piece of work. I could see myself putting these on my back or using as a headdress. Looks way more impressive (you may ask how is that possible) close up. Check out the video where the artist talks about his creations. After the YouTube I attached a couple more pics of it.

Thanks for sharing the video. I like that he uses recycled materials in his work. I can see why you were attracted to those wings. (K)

The knives make perfect wing feathers, don’t they. Gives me an idea for collage. You’re welcome on the video and yes. There’s also a long “chain” made of old belts and liquor bottles that is pretty cool-looking.

I love the detail in it….and it’s huge in the video…

Yes, it has quite the wingspan! I’m going to use it as a pattern for collage. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

I’m glad you had the video….that was a good reference on how big it was.

This is a very cool piece! I enjoyed the video and the plane with groceries come out instead of bombs. A great post, Lisa.
