dVerse OLN 378 Tingled

Tingled

You tingle me
as you fall.
Beam-fluttered,
I shiver in your
textured patterns.
You come to me
as you will,
with your silver
puffed friends
who lie, their
dark smirks
love’s rebuke.
Despite, I
runnel you,
now slinking
under crust of ice.

I thought of love between snow and weak-winter sun.

Björn is today’s host of dVerse’ Open Link Night. Björn gives us an optional prompt:
So as an inspiration take an object or a plant (a cacti or a fish for instance) and think about how that object may symbolize affection and maybe even possession which may be part of a love relation.

Well that was very well done…I think difficult, demanding to write…that icy finish though….a lot of good, sharp pull and play with emotions there..liked that v much..

There’s a word you don’t hear everyday – runnel -! How you manage to put words like that in the order you do is truly a mystery to me Lisa.

Randy, thanks much. Think of me as a transmitter. Runnel ran up and said “use me!”

The weak sun of winter tingles instead of giving a scorching burn. Nicely done Lisa.

That is wonderful…it takes me back to snow days we had as kids…we would have a week or two at times. Walking the ice covered creeks with the rock banks full of ice sickles. Thanks for the poem…I haven’t thought of that in a long time!

My new favourite poem of yours, Lisa, which certainly gave me tingles. I love the verbification of ‘runnel’ and the idea of ‘slinking under crust of ice’.

It’s actually between the winter sun and snow, but you can imagine it as you will. Thanks, Merril.
