dVerse Q221 — Arrival

Arrival

Each arrival you push your
null rival away, timing right;
call far, bring birdsong;
hew dull brown to green;
awake asleep; dandelions
navigate lion winds; puffs
tessellate landscape to
match cloud-patched sky.
Energized, we frolic, our
netherworld forgotten; you
treasure, Sacred You, Spring!

De Jackson (aka WhimsyGizmo) is today’s host of dVerse’ Quadrille Monday. De would like us to write a 44-word poem using the word or a form of the word enchant. I decided to write an acrostic form poem with enchantment.

    Dandelions are cool…there is a Rolling Stones song I like by that name. I’m so happy spring has sprung for the most part…except the storms!

      I was JUST wondering how you were doing. Thank goodness you are back. Storms still going there? Electricity on yet?

        Yea we have electricity now…I took today off and enjoyed the sun…I’m so sick of rain. I could not live in Seattle lol.

          That part of the US has its own special climate (learned that in the geography class I took as an elective, thinking it would be an easy class, yeah right!) because it has the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. Yes one big precipitation generator. Michigan has 240 cloudy days a year, which is no picnic either :(

            Oh I didn’t know that about the 240 cloudy days…wow that sucks. We only get this rain in spring.

    Beautiful Lisa. Dandelions bring out mixed feelings. They are such determined plants. Are they flowers or are they weeds! All depends on one’s perspective!

      Thanks for reading and your comment. Dwight, all I know about them is that dandelions are plentiful pollen for pollinators. I’ve heard they make good wine also :)

          Now I didn’t know that! I eat salads a lot. Will pick some for a salad once they come out.

            Get the fresh green tender ones. My mom used to make a cooked dressing with ham chunks in it, as I recall.
