Your milkweed is so beautiful. I must plant some!!! But it has to be this color..same color as a monarch.

I hope you do. I haven’t seen monarchs on it yet.

I love the cinnamony smell of them. Nice that they reminded you of your mom.

Are you on their migration path?

They visit here in season but they choose other plants in the yard, like Joe Pye Weed and Bonset. I have the regular milkweed also, but I’ve seen some bugs on them that I think like to eat their eggs, like lanternflies and red ants :(

The colours of the Butterfly Milkweed and the Purple Galaxy tomatoes caught my attention immediately.

I had the purple rain but mistakenly nabbed the wrong variety to share. The purple rain were very good. This year it’s mortgage lifter. They weren’t numerous like other years but they make up for it in size — and oh so delicious! Just used some in a tomato sauce.

Mmmm, there is nothing quite like a garden fresh tomato. Even slicing into them is an experience to savour. Mortgage Lifter, my oh my, the names that come up!
My sweety made tomato sandwiches tonight with fresh bread I picked up from a local bakery. Mmmm mmmm good!
