Surprise!
Five years ago, Geenie and Fred decided they would go on a world cruise once they’d saved $50,000. Geenie was diligent in saving coins and dollars to put in the fund. Once a month she’d go to the nearby bank and deposit what she’d saved. Coins and dollars add up over five years.
September first, Geenie made her monthly deposit. Looking at the receipt, she was aghast to see the balance was only today’s deposit amount. The clerk told her Fred zeroed out the account yesterday.
Geenie walked into the living room to find the sculpture.
“Surprise!” said Fred, beaming.

Are those chocolate guitars? And will there be a followup story about Geenie killing Fred?

I don’t know, Steve, and even if they were they wouldn’t save Fred ;) You never know, there may be a part 2…

There was no way that sculpture wouldn’t catch my attention. Of course, real guitars would even be cooler, though sadly I can’t even remember when I practiced the last time – or played for more than a couple of minutes! 😢
That said, I do feel sorry for Geenie and think Fred is in trouble!

Fred can talk to the hand, just before he’s asked to leave.

I guess so. But why did he deceive her by spending their vacay money? I don’t think anything is going to mend the breach — unless he can take it back and get a refund.

She needs to insist that he tries to return it and if he can’t then she should make him sell it, as spending her money on something that she didn’t want should be a deal breaker.

Research shows that an experience is preferable to a “thing”. Somehow I think this gift is not going to go over too well. (K)

A cruise or a guitar sculpture. I’d say Fred made the right choice.

Sadje, what do you think? Once a story is released it is up to the reader. Good question.

I hope she was because if Fred did that, he must know her pretty well!

He wants booting out and he can take his sculpture with him – see if it keeps him warm at night😅

Ah! Men! Have you heard the story about how God gave him the pee-pee?

LOL no, but I’d like to. Please do tell :)

God was handing out gifts to Man and Woman. He came to the last two. “With this pee-pee you can pee standing up.” Man snatched it and went about aiming at the bush and drawing water squiggles in the sand.
Woman said, “God, what’s left?”
God said ‘brains’.

Dear Lisa,
Methinks Fred will pay for his lapse in judgement. But Joy’s comment explains a lot LOL.

Fred ended up selling the sculpture to pay his divorce lawyer. The lawyers lived happily ever after.
