Come Soon
Dark poetry grows full,
a frost over everything;
clouds some say thrive
like blue in winter prairie,
no verdant song out there.
Come soon, quiet spring
after cold dusk cover,
breathe with warm murmur
a sacred dawn.
Bonus message:
by seed & rain
a happy garden

The Oracle Speaks through magnet poetry.

I’ve always loved that song but first time hearing this cover. Tedeschi and Trucks are on my radar this year and I plan on listening to more of their stuff. Glad you enjoyed it, Jim :)

‘Darlin’ Be Home Soon’ was written by John Sebastian of the Lovin’ Spoonful for the soundtrack of the 1966 Francis Ford Coppola film You’re a Big Boy Now. Sebastian was asked to write this specific song for an important love scene. He started thinking about all the songs that dealt with lonely musicians on the road and decided to flip the concept and write about a guy waiting for his girlfriend to come home. In this song, he pleas for a partner to spend a few minutes talking before leaving.

I knew Sebastian wrote it but didn’t know he wrote it for a FFC film. Haven’t heard of that movie. He wrote some good songs. Thinking of “Nashville Cats.”

Our moons are very similar.
I do feel something is imminent.
Tedeschi Trucks is so good. Have you heard their “I am the Moon” cd? I got it out of the library and it’s wonderful. (K)
