Green and I
What is it about cacti and I
getting along so well together?
Prickly pear and Christmas
thrive on neglect and love light.
What is it about succulents and I
being such good friends?
Jade plants are all about the green.
They drop their lobes and create.
What is it about ginkgo and I
that seek each out with soul?
You call to me and I hear you.
You tell me secrets and I listen.

I love your poem, Lisa. You just have a natural green thumb!

Listening and learning to what the plants need is what it’s all about. Thanks, Dwight. I think you have one also. My older son told me about this YouTube Channel. I watch it and listen to the music of the plants:

Cactus and succulents are hardy and thrive in difficult situations that would be impossible for the delicate flowers. Your poem speaks of strength I think, of both them and you. :)

Cindy that doesn’t surprise me about you. “The Secrets of Neglect” would make a great title for something. <3

This made me smile…as we have a family of cacti that seems to like us a lot…which is a lot considering we thought we had black thumbs for the longest time instead of green ones!

I’m glad, Bruce. They like to be left alone, and that works for me because I’m naturally neglectful ;)

That’s a great affinity. My plants come and go with my different living spaces. My last apartment all my plants loved. This one, not so much, even though I get good light. Must be some bad vibes left over from a previous resident. (K)

Sage your place, they’ll scurry. Sure it isn’t something in the water?

I have used sage. Could be water I guess.

This was creative and let us feel green in many ways – and the Jade sounds like it is fruitful
