Thank you for all these links Li, some of these are on my list as well, but that’s no surprise we seem to like similar things. 😀

You’re welcome, Paul. I didn’t want non-spotifiers to be left out, and now that the list is made it will be easy to modify as needed. Yes, our musical tastes are similar (among other things.)

Finally! A Christmas playlist that includes Father Christmas! That is the only Christmas song I will never get tired of hearing!

Ha ha! V, most of the songs at the end are this year’s ad. Check out Christmas Dirtbag by Wheatus. If Father Christmas is your fave, you’ll love this one also :)

  3. My favourites you listed were:
Don’t shoot me Santa – At the start I thought I would disdain it, but this truly unorthodox Christmas song, certainly won me over by the end. Great melody and more over a keeper for future festive seasons.
Christmas in Hollis – I think I first heard it in the original Die Hard movie. Good selection and what’s good is it isn’t played to death!
Must Be Santa – Well what else can you say about this modern classic which remains my children’s favourite. I have it at No 5 on my Countdown list tomorrow.
Christmas (Please Come Home) – I was surprised how much I liked this and just sent it on. I don’t recall hearing it before. Good one.
Wheatus – Christmas Dirtbag – It’s a PowerPop – tongue in cheek Christmas song. Great rhythm and just so cool. Another keeper.
2000 miles – Pretenders – is one of my latest Christmas favourites. There was a performance last year at Melbourne Christmas Carols by Megan Washington which blew me away and I ended writing about it.
Vivaldi’s Winter – Spectacular. I was more familiar with Autumn and Spring, but this really is something.
Christmas will break your heart – Most excellent and I found myself so circumspect. This was gorgeous. Biggest surprise packet for me so far and there are many lol.
Happy Xmas (War is Over) – No 2 on my list tomorrow.
Just so many you posted. Will listen to more when I get a chance. Cheers Lisa.

You’re making my day by listening to the list and that you don’t know some of them. My older son got a chuckle out of Don’t Shoot Me Santa (we are both fans of The Killers.) The Wheatus song makes me smile every time I hear it. Vivaldi’s Winter by Trent McDonald is so poignant, as Trent passed away a couple of months ago. He was a great guy generally and an excellent musician. He’d recently retired and was getting back into making his wonderful music again.
Will check out your list tomorrow (if I remember, but it might be after Christmas.)
