Laugh
It’s a rotten system.
No wonder it’s going under.
Congress, funded lackies
with investments
in their Overlords’ stocks,
E’erbody wrapped up
in rhetoric while cities burn.
Body count rises,
and innocents disappeared.
Protests shine limelight
on decay to the world,
but what does it DO?
What drives despots
mad is our belly laughs.
Lungs bellow blades,
slice into revealing truth,
outing through
gelatinous rancid goo.
Laugh as if your freedom
depended on it.
This poem is dedicated to those talented and brave souls who make us laugh. Below are just a few of them who have helped me keep my sanity in an increasingly insane time in history. Each name is linked to a funny video, except cartoonist, Keith Knight’s, is to his website.

This is brilliant and so needed right now Li. I love Ricky Gervais, also Taika Waititi. My go to is Billy Connolly when I need to belly laugh, especially his Scottish drunk singing or eating fish and chips. Also, lately Michael McIntyre, loving his look at life’s moments. Thank you so much for bringing a smile!! :)

When they tried to shut him up and it backfired, it was one of the best things ever. I hadn’t watched his show much before then, but I watch it often now :)

I don’t have cable TV, but I can still watch the show in segments on YouTube. Kimmel gets so many good guests on his show and I like his interview style.

lmao! “meats and cheeses always pleases” and “my mother was in the arms industry … making swords” omg! I’ve seen the younger guy somewhere before. Deadpan humor is brilliant art form. I just subscribed to that channel, looks like a blast.
