I’m not sure what’s going on with WP, but they’ve done something to it. Why mess with the Classic editor? It’s simple for us non-techies and I’ve enjoyed using it since starting blogging at WP. Now you’ve effed with it. Put the KISS option back the way it was please.
I was snowed in from last Friday until this past Wednesday by choice. Had an appointment yesterday (Thursday) so went out to the garage Weds and found the garage lock frozen. With a WD40 and handwarmer packet remedy, an hour later I got ‘er done. It was 26F and little wind so not that bad while clearing 15″ of light powder. The following pics were taken on Weds.
Today it is much colder and stormier out there!
What’s it like in your neck of the woods?? Stay warm everybody!

That sure looks like a lot of snow and so cold. We are expected to get ice and snow starting this afternoon through Monday. Not a fan! Keep warm! :)

Barbara, knowing where you live, the arctic blast is traveling far. You stay warm too, my friend <3

Yikes!! Stay inside as much as you can, Lisa. We’re comfy here in NY, stocking up on supplies and waiting for Sunday’s storm. The forecast is for 2 feet of snow. 😳🥶

omg 2 feet??? It’s coming down steady here, really hoping it stops.

I enjoyed your video, Lisa and I used the Classic editor twice today and it is 80 degrees here by me today.

Thanks Jim. They changed something with my classic. Now I have to click inside of boxes to write text. 80 degrees is 80 degrees hotter than it is here. Think about that. Waiting for a day we can walk through a portal to another place.

Elon Musk said that the day is coming where there will be more humanoid robots around than humans.

I’m sure that’s his fondest dream.

Since AI is known for “hallucinating” (i.e. making shit up), humanoid robot may be an explanation for our current president and others in his administration. Maybe it’s all just technical glitches.

Don’t fall Li! Be careful! Hope the storm won’t last too long! It was on our news about the US having stormy weather this week and weekend!

Thanks, CA. Trying to be careful when I step outside. After having had to climb down a ditch on Wednesday in that deep snow to get my mailbox I got a little worried.

Yowzer! That’s a lot of weather. Stay safe. We’re all grey wet mud here in the centre of the UK right now. This winter has been one long wet spell so far
I see the US is in for it this coming week. Good luck

Grey wet mud sounds pretty grim. I hear TX is getting snow, which always makes me smile.

18 inches on the way they say. But it remains to be seen if it actually comes to pass. But it is COLD. (K)

It’s cool enough here that the snow squeaks rather than crunches when you walk on it.

Oh wow, Steve. It’s crunching hard here but didn’t hear any squeaks.

Lisa, is that you walking in the snow? Ugh, I do not miss that!

Winter is wayyyy worse where you are, Lisa. Yet, we’re apparently going to try to give you a run for your money this weekend. Latest forecast here in the Philly suburbs is for at least a foot of snow on Sunday, and then single digit temps at night next week. As long as the power hangs in there, we’re all good. I will say Mrs. B and I wandered into the local grocery store late this afternoon and it was cleaned out. The Philly area has a long-standing reputation of emptying grocery stores whenever we have one of these storms, so we should have known.😁 Hang in there!

Everybody is getting hit this weekend, it sounds like. Good luck and may your power stay powering. Thanks, Bruce, I’m trying :)

Dwight, I think snow would be better than sleet and freezing rain. Hope you and Ruth stay inside, nice and cozy.

It was the first meeting of a book club at a friend’s house. I didn’t want to disappoint her. I got it done, but it took a little effort. I’m probably making it sound worse than it was.

Oh geez…thats cold cold cold!!! It even looks that cold in your video. Stay warm yourself!

Yes, they just can’t keep the basic classic … basic. Yes, it’s colder than a well-digger’s ass as my mom used to say.

LOL..I haven’t heard that saying for years! Right now I’m on my phone hot spot with my laptop…hoping the electric will come back on

Nope… no one has even came up… the tree is over the entire road. I wonder if their truck can even get up our hill
LikeLiked by 1 person
Oh no, sounds like you’re trapped there. Does anyone have a chainsaw??
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yea but the power lines on the tree… no one will touch or get near. The problem In is also the roads are pretty much impassable down here right now. I have to wonder if the electric company can get up by our hill to fix the problem that might be the hold up.
They are just not prepared for this

We could walk… but nearest store is like 5 miles away… we do have food… I feel like such a complainer! We found out the CEMC hasn’t even assigned a crew for us.
If we had power… being stuck would be fine.
One lady at work is without power and she has her 90 year-old parents with her so we could be doing much worse. Tonight it’s getting down to around zero but tomorrow the high is 31 and that will be a heat wave for us.

Oh my goodness, Max. I’m worried for you. They haven’t even assigned a crew yet :( If your work friend has to she should call an ambulance for her parents. Better they are at a warm hospital.
Zero is no joke for anybody but for the elderly it can be deadly!
Glad you can see 31 tomorrow.

I told her to call 311… they should help her. This is totally unbelievable. I’m on my couch covered up in blankets and I can see my breath.. .
I’m taking Rocky tonight with us so he can at least be warm. The battery backup just died. Sorry to vent to you but it keeps my mind somewhere else

Good, I’m glad you’re taking Rocky. No need to apologize, Max. I’m sorry you are in a situation like that. Just heard back from son. They tried to fix it for an hour with no luck. He brought more space heaters and said they will come back tomorrow with help to fix it. That’s 4 days and nights with a couple of measly space heaters in freezing weather. :(

That’s a lot of days! Yea that’s not enough and he should get money off of his rent but it shouldn’t have happened at all!
I hope he doesn’t get sick because of it. Well we just got some exciting news or view.. we saw CEMC actually looking at tree! At least they are looking at it. Hopefully tomorrow!
LikeLiked by 1 person
He sent me a pic of 61 in his bedroom, where he’s been holed up, so he’s not freezing anyway.
Thank goodness CEMC is looking at the tree. That is always a good sign. Keep me posted, Max. I’m worried about you all.

Thank you Lisa. We are getting ready to leave to go over to the neighbors but we’re kind of waiting to see if the lights are gonna pop on. But ieven if they do, it’s gonna take hours to heat this house back up we’re at 41 on our thermostat right now..
Thanks for letting me vent

We are still staying next door though to give it time to warm up. It will take hours before it warms up.
I hope he gets his heat back as well!
