dVerse Tuesday Poetics — Northern Winter Drama

Northern Winter Drama

We are gauze wrapped,
warped scratchy cocoons,
suffered abrading wounds,
suspended trapped torsos.

We twist, resigned captives,
winter’s frostbitten hairshirts,
prey of waking hibernation,
doomed chattels until melt.

In full swing of Spring:
All this happened, more or less.

Punam is today’s host of dVerse’ Poetics Tuesday. Punam says:
The following are some opening lines. Please choose one as the closing line of your poem.

I chose #3:

All this happened, more or less.

lol thanks, Dwight. Winter weather can blow things out of proportion, just a tad … but soon forgotten when Spring gets its green little butt here.
