Steve, thank you. I love that song and thought about using Sting’s cover of it, but the original is perfect (and I chose a recording that didn’t go on too long.)

    Excellent piece Lisa.
BTW. In response to your asking — this link will take you back to the post on my Image and Verse website where I’ve had my DDE process outlined for quite some time — maybe three years. It will explain how I go about creating my images. >>> https://www.image-verse.com/my-ddaies-trade

Here is a bit more — Without going into too much confusing details, Lisa what I have created, over the last number of years, a compositional prompt group that I feed into a bot a rendering processor, for example, like a MidJourney, or Dal-lee, or any rendering bot. I use use this prompt languaging litany that I have created, as the core of my DDE (Directed Digital Extrapolation) to arrive at the results that I am seeking. Whereas, without the DDE discipline, you have no friggin idea what’s gonna come out. It’s all in using the DDE prep, before you start rendering. It’s all the DDE prompting, that makes the image what it is, what you want — that includes feeding a digital Wacom sketch. So anyhow, that’s already more complicated than I wanted to get — but that’s what DDE is based on. Here is a good outline of the steps tfor you.

    1. Lighting
    2. Nature of detailing
    3. Depth of Field
    4. Image Mood
    5. Composition
    6. Art Style (painterly / illustration / watercolor / photographic — etc.)

Rob, I just went to your link and read about your work and scrolled down your gallery of images. What you describe there and here is so much beyond my ability/capacity to put to practical use. I wish you would get a patent on your process, and then maybe offer classes for those who are into digital manipulation. (Just my opinion)

I if I were younger Lisa and didn’t have all of the health issues I have I might consider that it’s just I have to go slowly now that I don’t create nearly as much as I used to. I was very fortunate. I got introduced to IT digital rendering bots all that stuff in 1990 that’s 37 years ago because I worked started contract with Lucas and then I actually got employed by him in 1995. I wasn’t making movies but I was helping design products that would carry the THX logo and in my use there I got to know all the guys from industrial light and magic ILM and they do all of the special effects, not only for Lucas, but for many many movie companies is that exposure that I started to learn how rendering bots work bots BOT anybody I can tell you can buy a majority in it and make me a picture of a boat and it will it’ll make you 15 different varieties boat but telling it how and what you want the boat to look like in detail, shadowing colors and texture and everything like that it’s just understanding the language of render bots basically they’re stupid and you let them do what they wanna do it turns into the stuff you’re talking about that really Drakie kinda digital stuff but if you learn how to talk to the bottom and that’s the biggest thing and that’s what my DDE is my own process for talking to render bots, which I actually started to developing 30 years ago when I was with Lucas so you can’t fault these people that are returning marginal digital stuff there’s nothing wrong with digital art. It’s been around longer than you probably realize and it can be spectacular. It’s just that you really have to know how to talk to the render bot so you have to be part, artistic and part digital by me part digitally incline part technical and I was fortunate in my life that I just got introduced to that 1993 the first time anyhow I’m sorry I didn’t mean to drag off but the bottom line anybody can take like a mid journey. Tell him to make a boat and push a button and you’ll get a boat to make up what you want, but when you learn how there is there is a Kia multi key to understanding what and how to save things to the render box and it gets more intricate every every year if you learn that I don’t have these expensive rendering bots like I used to be exposed to Lucasville. I have basically consumer available rendering gear because I can’t afford some of those intricate spots, I got Lucasville they had bought in the ILM division that cost $2 million. What I have cost $200 but the key is the $200 box function the same way $2 million bot fundamentally if you know how and understand how to rendering bots think in the levels that they need to be instructed in then you can turn out my stuff with average equipment. it’s just that I have developed my own way. I learned how to talk to them. I’ve developed my own language. Need to go along with it over the last number of decades so I keep yapping. I’m sorry I could talk about this right sorry anyhow I appreciate the fact that you are so gracious about what I do thank you.

Oh, I would love to be a bird, Lisa, and your quadrille made me realise what a choice I would have as to type and species! I love that there is a choice of ‘diving or swimming, lightbound or darkbound’, but I wouldn’t want to be either predator or prey.
