You have reached a quiet bamboo grove, where you will find an eclectic mix of nature, music, writing, and other creative arts. Tao-Talk is curated by a philosophical daoist who has thrown the net away.

She acted injured and kept falling over. At first I was convinced she was either injured or poisoned and started crying. I ran back to the house and got a dish of water and the corner of a suet cake and brought them to her. Google is my best friend and reminded me that nesting birds feign injury to lead away from their nest. I’m sure her nest has to be near by. I used “art” as search term and came up with 140 choices to choose from.
Today’s number is 238. To play along, go to your photos file folder and type the number 238 into the search bar. Then post a selection of the photos you find that include that number and post a link to your blog in my Numbers Game blog of the day. If instead of numbers, you have changed the identifiers of all your photos into words, pick a word or words to use instead, and show us a variety of photos that contain that word in the title. This prompt will repeat each Monday with a new number. If you want to play along, please put a link to your blog in Judy’s comments.
Were the plants in the fourth photo arraged or did they grow like that? Beautiful. And in the fifth photo, plants or animals? Again, in the seventh. Arranged or did you snap them as you found them? So beautiful. Lovely photos. The butterfly, too.
#4: the plants are meticulously arranged at meijer gardens. always a treat to see what they come up with on the visits. in winter they do it indoors also. #5 those are tiny birds that wander around in the tropical conservatory. #7 I found them that way at the pond and fountain at Felt Mansion. Looks like they added color to the water and maybe sprinkled the blossoms in. Thanks, Judy :)
I like these photos! And that you can type in a word instead of a number. … Pumpkin artists – cool , and also I like your buffalo collage. Now. … the plover does it look like a UFO? No? Of course not! That is what some claim was flying over Lubbock that was instead of a UFO (the Lubbock Lights back in the early 50s) Yeah right! hahaha It was a UFO :)
Barbara thanks for the lovely comments, those pumpkins are all over the gardens at Halloween time and they all light up at night. It’s sooooo cool. I love that buffalo as it shows what I can do if I put my mind to it. Of course the plover looks like a UFO. Wow on the Lubbock Lights. What the overlords feed us and expect us to swallow never ceases to amaze me.
It’s always interesting to see what comes up when I’m searching my archives for art to go with a poem. My labeling of both art and photos is quite haphazard. (K)
Kerfe, I hear you on labels. Sometimes all they have is a string of numbers on them. Felt Mansion is always a treasure trove for pics. That fountain is a real beauty. Sometimes they maintain it sometimes not. I remember that day it was windy, and the flowers were wandering over the water in a very mysterious way.
