Whoa, another fabulous and new-to-me musician, Lisa. Thanks for the introduction. I enjoyed her sound. I though “Pretty Babies” had just a touch of the French chansons style. Great backing band, too. “Lightning Strikes” is a great, catchy tune with a good rock ‘n’ roll vibe and the video is pretty cool. “Wonder Blind” is a nice change of pace that further demonstrates her versatility. Good choices for an artist’s profile.

Kudos to you, Lisa, for finding and highlighting all these fine female artists in your great series. Karen Elson is yet another new artist to me. Vocals are generally important to me, and I like Karen’s voice. The songs you highlighted are also pretty decent. Between her modeling and music, she’s had a very impressive career – not to mention her laudable advocacy for children!

I get a 1960s vibe from her…I don’t know why…that first video is probably the reason. I’ve heard of her because of the Jack White connection. Great sounding artist!

Yes, Jack’s had 3 musician wives, but he’s all about the music so it doesn’t surprise me. I think Elson is more supermodel than anything, but I like what I’m hearing.
