There were 2 rallies/protests/marches in my town yesterday. The above was for the 2nd one. Ours started at noon, where we marched 3-4 blocks to Hackley Park. We chanted our protests along the way, such as “Our Streets” and “No More Kings.” We stayed on the sidewalks for about half of it and then filled the street. The crowd was upbeat and smiling, even as we talked between ourselves about the reasons we were there. A whole lot of good signs. There were no frogs, which I was surprised by, but there was a short giraffe and a T-Rex.
There is a band pavilion at the park as we have Friday Party in the Parks there in nice weather. A very good setup for political rallies also.
I estimate there were twice as many people there from NKD 2.

Here’s me, looking like a dweeb. My hair was wet and it was hovering around freezing. Of course I forgot my warm hat and a pair of gloves. Thanks to Barb, a friend of mine, for the sunglasses, who helped with the disguise.

Oops I guess there was a frog there!

Since I didn’t bring a bag chair — not very prepared, was I! — my feet started hurting after the march and standing in place for an hour. Decided to walk across the street and have a sit with Mr. Charles Hackley. Several folks walked by and took our pic. One lady propped her sign up by Charles and I took his pic with it. The “No Kings in America since 1776” sign is one my friend made and my friend’s mom gave it to me.

I have never participated in a protest, but I do love seeing those people wearing those inflatable frog costumes on the News.

I think you do your protesting in written form, Jim. I love the frogs also, especially when they dance.

Another huge crowd. Went with younger daughter and a friend. We marched the whole way down to 34th st–actually got subway back uptown at 28th so a few blocks more. (my body was not happy last night…) Lots of great signs, not so many costumes this time, although there was a trio in prison garb and chains with Trump Miller and Bannon heads. A chorus was singing for part of it–that was nice. Again, not many cops, entirely peaceful–no MAGA hecklers, at least none I saw. Tourists on the sidewalk taking photos. All in all good. (K)

The other wonderful members of the administration were well represented on signs.

Yes! That’s the spirit. Tell them who you are! Tell them loud and tell them clearly. I’m so proud of you and your countrymen and women who stand up and say NO!

Steve, Thanks! Did you have any demonstrations in your neck of the woods? I was watching some video or another that showed protests across the globe.

On Saturday in London was the largest Anti-Far Right protest ever recorded in England. Half a million people in Trafalgar, Whitehall and Westminster. But the BBC are pretending it was much smaller than it was because they’re corrupt. It was glorious. Peaceful funny and honest. London at its best. We showed up.

YES!!!!!! Thank you to You and Your People for Showing Up. Half a million ain’t no joke! Wow. I noticed they under-report our #s but over-report their own. Remember doofus’ birthday debacle?

I saw a sign that said “We’re not here because there’s hope. There’s hope because we’re here.”
