Why is a raven like a writing desk?

A glazed-circled pill, washed down with last elixir from the magic bean pot, soon called to me, “Come out and play, little Alice!” No longer small, I managed to crawl through the shrinking doorway to robin’s egg blue, glittered with sunbeams.

“WHERE ARE YOU?” I boomed with my big girl voice, my blonde curls now higher than the chimney, finally melted due to the warm spurt of a cruelly cold March.

Hare peeped around garage, nose wiggling, “Here!” One step over and he jumped into white-hearted pocket of my blue gingham dress. “Hurry!” his watch tap said, “Or the tea will be cold.”

Dormouse and a goofy one in a faux-king hat made me laugh. “Sit!” squeaked Browny, whose fur was ratty but looked soft. The faux king coughed and poured cold Earl Grey. And then, to our surprise, a psychedelic worm fell into each of our cups.

    I used to love riddles, but Lewis Corroll’s ones were something else. Why is a raven like a writing desk? I like how you explored your inner Alice, Lisa. This part made me chuckle:

      LMAO. Chris, necessity is the mother of invention, and I’m using faux-king a faux-king lot lately. Also, in a comment at Andy Borowitz’ substack, a brilliant person stated that she finally found a use for the sh*t emoji.
