#FFF 77 — June Doodads

More pics taken in June. Hope you enjoy them. Happy Friday!

The first batch were taken June 2 at fmg. The welcoming bouquet always sets the tone. The ponds were looking comparable to the DC reflecting pool. Turtles and frogs were carrying on as usual. One of the areas under construction is finally finished with a new playground piece that kids were flocking to with delight. What kid could resist. They also re-installed the labyrinth with a few new frills. The playground piece and the labyrinth are fairly close to each other. Lupine ran along one of the main pathways. So pretty!

We did strawberry picking on the 14th at Crisp Country Acres in Ottawa County. In addition to strawberry fields they have a market with food they grow and products made/grown in Michigan, a small barn with baby animals that the kids can feed, and a real nice playground with a farm theme. The following are pics taken that day.

The milkweed in the yard pic was taken on June 12. It’s gotten bigger in the past couple of weeks, as we’ve had good rain and mostly warm days.

I made delicious pizza the other day with Hello Fresh recipe. The dough was already made but raised. The “sauce” was hummus. It had chicken, cheese, with lemon zest, dill weed and tzaziki (sp?) as garnish. So tasty!

The last pic is Mlady and Dotty. Dotty is getting close to the end of her life. She had to go in last week because one of the lumps (I found out these are not cancerous but are masses of bacteria, etc.) became open. She was given an injectable antibiotic that is supposed to last 2 weeks. She is on palliative care now. She takes pain drops once a day and has an ointment rubbed into her ear to increase appetite. She’s lost 3# since last year and wasn’t very big to begin with. She doesn’t seem to be in any pain.
