In addition to the Paul Collins painting, I discovered a case full of dolls at the library. A couple are kinda sorta creepy but most of them are quite lovely. Hoping you enjoy the stroll through these pretty, frilly beauties.

Happy Friday!
You have reached a quiet bamboo grove, where you will find an eclectic mix of nature, music, writing, and other creative arts. Tao-Talk is curated by a philosophical daoist who has thrown the net away.
Lovely dolls, Lisa! 👍 Some of them are creepy, yes, but I find Louisa the creepiest. My favorite is the first doll.
You too, happy Friday, and may your weekend be filled with joy! ☺️

Max, they always have something interesting in the library. I can’t imagine what the Jackie doll is worth. Looking for more info on this one, I see they made a LOT of Jackie dolls!

Yea I would think so…she was so popular…almost if not more than her husband. It really looks like her!

A slice of children’s history, amazing by comparison.

Interesting! I never knew there were any dolls made of the wives (and daughter) of the Presidents before. Were they just for this display or were they made for children to buy everywhere. I like the dresses they are wearing :)

Barbara, I don’t know much about them, including when they were made. I did find a website for the company was so geeked to read it was founded by Madame Alexander over 100 years ago. Here’s the link to the website:

I have to say the eyes seem strange. But I know Madame Alexander is a famous doll company. (K)

I wonder what they were made of? Probably not glass or they wouldn’t go bad like that?

I don’t know but they have an eerie quality.
