Tomato plants have never
been so tall wide healthy
covered with blossoms
But where are the bees
to fruitify them? Too many
possible desert culprits;
maybe collaborators in crime
of pesticide, disease, drought?
Pollinators are our canaries
in the gardening mine.

Love the artwork in these…that pastel look… nice poem Lisa! I hope you are doing well this week.

Max, Marina outdid herself on the cards. Thanks on the poem. It’s been a good, busy week and it’s not over yet. This morning was the only one I was able to sleep in. It rained all day Weds and much of Thursday. Today is warm and sunny.

Those are like…or are little pieces of art. I’m glad it’s warm and sunny for you. We have had very brisk cool mornings and warm afternoons…I LOVE fall!

Yes, they are. I don’t mind brisk if the sun is shining. It’s my favorite time of the year also. I bet Martha and The Idiots are loving the cooler weather.

LOL..yes they are! They are a joy to be around…AND a pain at times…but joy wins out.

Love the meaning of the poem, Lisa. We have to take care of our pollinators and welcome them in!

I have been lucky to have polinators. Though the heat stress of summer had many of the tomatoes with underdevloped white centers. Due a frost warning – all of my green tomatoes are on my morning light windowsil. I used two red ones for a sause tonight along with some of what was left of the peppers. I added some herbs too.
Lovely qoute.
