Q257 One, Invitation to

pockets call hands
hands beg gloves
gloves mime fur
fur walls weather
weather interests all
all overwhelms us
us comforts lonely
lonely prefers other
other grows frames
frames enclose art
art lubricates soul
soul marries heart
heart shelters love
love invites us to
O ………..N………….E

Lisa, that’s a very wonderfully written piece. 👍 Those brunnera hearts surely look like hearts. Is it the Jack Frost type?

Thank you, Yasan. I think they are Jack Frost. Not in my yard nor planted by me.

Your poem is like a game of word association, Lisa, and I love where pockets took you. The line ‘hands beg gloves’ made me smile as glove weather is approaching – yes, ‘weather interests all’.

  3. I loved how your engineered this poem Lisa, with the last word begetting the following line, you have some classic lines in there for sure but my fave has to be, “art lubricates soul.”…aint that the truth!! Beautiful quadrille and well done 🧡
