Day 26 — OctWriPoMo — Medusa and the Whistle

The photo collage was made in 2013.

Medusa and the Whistle

If this head could talk,

what would it say?

Game on?

Try me?

Don’t get in my way?

~ ~ ~

If snakes break free,

What would they do?

Would they bite?

Hiss?

Would they chew?

~ ~ ~ ~

Gold board set,

Tetris cubes drop.

Mesh them if you can.

Thoughts bounce,

Coils hop.

Game over.

Start again.

~ ~ ~ ~

Are we all on the same team?

Or rivals til the end?

Chick with a whistle dug in good,

And coiled snakes don’t bend.

~ ~ ~ ~

Maybe the just the right tune

Can make snakes swoon?

But if off on the tone,

Your soul’s turned to stone.

Beautiful poem! I really enjoyed both the message and the form. The subtle rhyme works really well.
